[QLD] New Monaro CV8 Highway Patrol Cars

Postby Wolverine » Tue Nov 29, 2005 2:09 pm

Has anyone seen any of these. I saw one this morning but was in no position to get a picture. They were rather busy with a multiple MVA. These pics were borrowed from the net. I present the Holden Monaro CV8
We have 10 of them on the road :D

Thanks for that Richard. I found them on the net with no credit to the photographer. I will keep an eye out and try to get some of my own :D

Meh, seems like a waste of money to me... The price tag doesn't warrant the minimal step up from previous pursuit vehicles! It's money that could have gone towards better equipment or some sort of community awareness event...

Nice to see the government can waste money on non-necessities like this...

That's odd cause the only place I knew of them being on one website did have those pics credited to me:

Thanks for crediting them appropriately Richard

No worries Darren, they seem to be circulating on the various car forums, those same images turned up on FordForums ( http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=28183 ), LS1.com.au ( http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=47103 ), and god knows how many other forums.

The cars are sponsorship cars from Holden, the same as has been seen here in Victoria with the GTO, SAAB, BMW etc.

I had YOUR images sent to me from a mate who got them sent to him by some one from Holden, interesting or what , was just seen the post and was about to give you credit for the images , guess I am a little late.

I also have some images of the new Monaro on my site at http://www.aevp.org
